LOUISE ADAMS

Bio

origin: Plymouth, MA

genre: Singer/Songwriter, Folk

years active: 2009 — present

Louise Adams is a singer/ songwriter from Plymouth, Massachusetts. Playing guitar and singing has been a part of her since a young age. After graduating college, one of the best parts of living in NYC was attending the Guitar Study Center after work in midtown Manhattan. Work, and family then took center stage but she eventually returned to playing and singing in local NJ bands before moving to Massachusetts in 2017.

Songwriting also came later in life, after a suggestion from a booking agent that she write a few songs to appear at a local venue. She released her first album, Come Dance with me in 2023 with Whole Music Records. The song, Come Dance with Me won a Silver Medal in the Global Music awards, and the following year, both songs, "Wish You Had" and "All the Time In the World" also received Silvers in the Global Music Awards.

She loves all kinds of music, and is grateful for her kids to keep introducing her to current artists. However, her inspirations keep bringing her back to acoustic artists such as Cosy Sheridan, Patty Griffin, Jeff Daniels, and Cheryl Wheeler.

When not working on original music, Louise plays throughout the south shore of Massachusetts in the band, Tupelo Honey., and also with Jim Schulze as the Louise Adams Acoustic Duo.

Louise released her debut album, Come Dance With Me, in the fall of 2023.

The title track, "Come Dance With Me," written by Louise Adams, Jim Schulze, and E.J. Ouellette,
