About Louise and Jim

Playing guitar and singing has been a part of Louise’s life since a young age. After college, while living in NYC, the highlight of her day was heading to the Guitar Study Center in midtown after work, where she developed the finger style technique that remains a hallmark of her playing today.

Jim just loves to play guitar and sing, and dance. You can see it whether hes making music with friends or entertaining onstage. HIs poise, kindness, attention to detail and excellent voice are always ready to make new friends and try new things.

In 2018, Louise met Jim Schulze one evening at an open mic at 1620 Wine Bar in Plymouth. It didnt take them long to recognize a shared appreciation for their acoustic musicianship and strong vocals. Louise was new to the area, while Jim had already built up a following with Dave Yaeger as the David James Duo. Before long, Louise joined them and together they formed the trio Tupelo Honey.

As their musical paths evolved, Louise and Jim decided to explore playing as a duo. Combining Louise’s fingerstyle and voice, with Jim’s flat picking and baritone voice and a growing collection of songs, they formed the Louise Adams Acoustic Duo in 2022.

Today, the duo is known for carefully crafting a set list that blends familiar favorites with their original music, featuring warm vocal harmonies, intricate acoustic guitar work, and an easy ,genuine connection with their audience. They bring both well loved songs and original material to life in a way thet feels fresh, personal and engaging, creating an intimate, and memorable listening experience. Beyond perfoming for festivals and private functions, the duo has a dedicated following that turns out at restaurants, wineries and beer gardens.
